WE NEED TO CHANGE 🌎👚
When it comes to fashion, we need to drastically change our attitude towards consumption.
🌎In the UK alone, we send an estimated 350,000 tonnes of clothing to landfill each year.
👗On average, people ditch clothes that they have worn just SEVEN times.
The ‘fast fashion’ system NEEDS us to constantly consume, to think that we need 52 seasons a year instead of 4, to make us feel off ‘trend’ All. The. Time. We need to recognise fashion for what it is - an INDUSTRY
Greenwashing makes it difficult for us to know whether a brand is truly ethical or sustainable. It can be confusing to figure out what brand you should support so...
♻️Start by cherishing what you already own, and make the most of it. If you want, or need something new, try renting or swap shops, borrowing from a friend, charity or vintage stores. Only purchase it if you bloody LOVE IT.
Conscious consumption over everything🌎
I’d worn this tee to clean the house n got bleach on it, so fear not, I decided to drown it in bleach & re-vamped it. 2012 tie-dye era lives on. ✌🏻
Whats your favourite item in your wardrobe? Or have you revamped anything? ✨ ...
Beek (n.) - 1. One who keeps bees 2. Bee enthusiast 3. Anyone who can’t stop talking about bees
One of my favorite bombs to drop on unsuspecting conversation partners is that worker bees are all female. What’s your favorite fast fact to drop on someone?! Do you prefer to hit them with stats about how important they are in agriculture, or go with the cool, complex science? I wonder if we all lean towards certain ones 😆.
Tell me your favorite bee fact in the comments! (And if you don’t have one yet, maybe you’ll find one! 🙌🏼) ...
honestly, i don’t have a ton of words right now, but i do have some so i’ll keep it brief.
i think it’s important to remember that “climate justice can’t exist without social justice.” @wastefreemarie how can we care for the planet if we don’t care for ALL the people on it ???
and i am not going to pretend to have the answers but as i have said in other posts learning is extremely important in growth & now is a great time to educate ourselves. so if you were waiting, the time is now. ...
💢REPOST @karmagawa 💢
This captive Bengal tiger at the Beijing Zoo is so depressed/bored that the poor animal just keeps walking endlessly in a circle even though the zoo has said the tiger has been given “psychological counseling” after zookeepers noticed the strange behavior at the end of March. What do you think — should this animal be set free given that tigers usually have anywhere between 5 and 60 miles to roam, not just a few feet like at this zoo? Many of us humans locked down around the world due to the Coronavirus pandemic are feeling frustrated after only a few weeks, imagine if this #quarantine lasted the rest of your life...could you do it or would you lose your mind too? Comment below with your thoughts, share this video with your followers and tag people who need to see it too!

🌱Growing Sprouts at Home💚 Homegrown Living Food 🙏
Did you know a sprout has a higher nutritional value than its fully-grown counterpart? 🤓A sprout will have more vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential fatty acids. 💊 Sprouts are at the peak of their nutritional value. As a seed germinates, enzymes are predigesting complex nutrients, turning them into easily digestible ones for your body to assimilate.
🎥 Did you know the very first Permacrafters course we ever filmed was our class on Growing Sprouts & Microgreens? It was the first time we spoke to a camera and we were freaking out so bad 😆 It made for some really awkward takes.
💻 If you want to learn about the benefits of sprouting, make sure to read our blog post to learn more about it! (Link in bio)

This is a sketch of a reality that exists.
Did you know that still most people in rural areas have to travel far for a basic supply of clean water?
We still wonder why billions of money is spent on space exploration when simple basic needs for humans on this earth are overlooked.
Don’t take for granted the simple luxuries we have. Use water carefully and do your part for the earth and the rest of humankind.
