As you can see, my little potting table has become temporary seedling accommodation so currently doing all of the dirty work on a bin liner on the floor of the deck. It’s not very Insta friendly but it sure makes the clean up a lot easier! Today, I’m going to have a big shift around, and get all the plants in their final positions. Cucamelons are go 💥🌱
These little vines are the perfect patio pot veggie, since they grow vertically. I pop around 5 plants to a 35cm pot, and then add a tripod of bamboo canes for the vines to climb up. The fruits are super cute and look like mini melons 👏 ...
A beautiful end to another productive week on the farm.
And by productive I mean our flower crew weeded on their hands and knees for hours and hours in the hot sun. Sunburns and sore knees for all.
Chris laid down irrigation for all 1,000+ dahlia tubers.
Our farm crew defeated an army of dirty buckets.
We created some beautiful florals for a styled shoot.
We submitted our 2021 order of tulips and peonies (you’re in for a treat next year!)
Flower crops were trellised to ensure straight beautiful stems perfect for bouquets.
It’s still an ongoing battle with slugs and wireworms and symphyla and horsetail.
And inside the greenhouse the white ranunculus are in their full glory pumping out beautiful long stems that are now en route in a delivery vehicle headed to some customers homes.
We’re grateful to spend so much time in nature every day witnessing the earth transform a little bit more. We’re also feeling mighty grateful for our hard working flower crew and getting to wake up and do this awesome job everyday. ...
