The journey to suck less at tuck handstand continues.  Ironically, I’m falling in love with it precisely because it’s supremely challenging for my body. When it kinda clicks, it feels like being on skis in a steep couloir on a frigid blizzard powder day — but with exactly the right clothes for the conditions, dialed in to every turn, and just enough cold-bite on my nose to appreciate the good fortune of being immersed in nature and the moment. Ok, maybe tuck handstand isn’t as fun as all that, but I’m guessing you can appreciate the parallel of a moment resting on the shoulders of preparation and privilege.

The list of reasons why not this position is comically long and sometimes it just feels unfair. I’ve got a congenital back issue that makes it nearly impossible to round my lower back, weird extra bones on the Lister’s tubercle of both wrists that make leaning forward a battle, knees that don’t like bending from five surgeries, and shoulders that lacked a number of basic prerequisites for this kind of work thanks to a combo of genetics, injury, surgery, and plenty of poorly guided weightlifting as a “youth.” I’ve had to perpetually refine my approach to get anywhere; always learning in a way that I am grateful at least has guided me to be a teacher, not just a demonstrator.

I’m not sharing this for your sympathy or for a pat on the back because of time invested — it’s just a handstand, and not even a high level one — it just makes me happy. I’m sharing because my hope is that the container of practice can be a training ground to improve your resilience in real life, and if you’ve ever felt that something being hard for you is unfair, that the experience leads to empathy with people in our world who face a level of unfairness that goes far beyond anything on a Yoga mat. #yoga #keepiteversoslightlyreal #empathy #equality #handstand #handstandpractice.

Possiamo dirvi una cosa? NON È VERO! Conosciamo tante persone che si definiscono pigre,ma fanno delle cose che noi mai sapremmo fare nella vita, tipo cucinano da paura, hanno una casa ordinatissima oppure suonano diversi strumenti musicali o sono artisti pazzeschi o comunque seguono le loro passioni con fermento!

Non è vero dunque che sono pigri, ma semplicemente non gli piace l’allenamento! 
.
Ma giustamente chi può dargli torto? Spesso noi insegnanti sui nostri profili mostriamo solo i lati migliori e con tanti filtri! 
.
Pigri del mondo fidatevi di noi, quello che vedete spesso è la foto finale, è come immortalare la torta di mele appena sfornata e mostrarla a tutti su istagram, ma prima di arrivarci chissà quanti Casini avete fatto in cucina!
.
Ecco questo post è per dire a tutti voi che ci sono tanti modi per muoversi e non tutti richiedono sudore della fronte e fatica o almeno non tanta di più di preparare una torta di mele!
.
La pigrizia è solo una scusa che nasconde la paura di rimettersi in gioco, sperimentare cose nuove, cambiare le proprie abitudini.
.
La nostra filosofia si basa su una frase #makeyourmovementsmile che significa proprio fai sorridere il tuo movimento!

Muitos iniciantes me questionam sobre as minhas referências dentro do Parkour no Brasil, então eu decidi apresentar através de um vídeo.

Sempre que tenho contato com pessoas que começaram a treinar recentemente, percebo que elas conhecem muito pouco sobre os praticantes brasileiros, e isso também acontecia comigo pouco mais de quatro anos atrás.
