I should write this recipe to add for my upcoming cookbook 🤓 We got a homemade beef stew brewed up in the slow cooker. Perfect for cold weather days like these! •
🥄🧂Ingredients: beef stock, tomato paste, white mushrooms, beef, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, bay leaves, spices. Serve alone or over brown rice. •
Carbs will be the end of me and I refuse to give them up, like this naan. I really wanted some hot, fresh naan last night so here’s what I did. You can find the step by step in my highlights...
1.) In a glass, mix 1/2 cup warm water, 2 tsp sugar and 3 tsp instant yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it rises and foams.
2.) In a large bowl, add 3 cups flour and 1/2 tsp kosher salt. When the yeast mixture is ready, add it to the flour.
3.) Then add 3/4 cups of warm milk and 1/2 cup plain yogurt. Mix well until dough is soft and a bit sticky. Make sure there are no flour lumps. I use my stand up mixer for this.
4.) Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl and cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for about an hour.
5.)When ready, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for a few minutes.
6.) Cut the dough into about 10 equal pieces, then shape into balls.
7.) With a rolling pin, roll out each piece and then brush with melted butter (I melted about 1 stick with some garlic powder)
8.) In a heated skillet, cook the naan for about 2 minutes on each side. That’s it. ..
