Me and my daughter, Sophie, at @chatsworthofficial last summer. (A flower arranging course we did together for my birthday 💐) Until recently, this is the only time you’d ever see Sophie gardening! She’s usually a city dweller, who has been a bit disconnected from nature, seasonal foods and self-sufficient living. I’ve just been waiting for the day when I can share my gardening knowledge with her!
As some of you may know, I’m immune compromised, and because of this Sophie came home to take care of me. Due to the recent challenges in buying groceries, I suggested we begin growing our own food from seed. Sophie loved the idea since there’s never been a better time to embrace sustainability and learn how to grow your own. She had no idea how idea how simple it can be, and as a food lover, wished she’d learned this years ago.
I realised there must be so many people like my daughter, who are perhaps wanting to learn more but not sure where to start. It’s really inspired me to create these video tutorials in the hope that I can spread this positive knowledge and help others. 🙏🥬🌱 .

Parsley last season, cucumber this season, what is the new green finger personality I’m taking on.. I’ve always dreamt of heading out to the kitchen garden/green house to collect the veg for the meal. And getting mint for the potatoes.
Maybe one day we’ll have a successful turn and manage to grow two different veg in one go... 🤞 ...
This is what is going on outside at the moment! We are trying so desperately to grow some good vegetables this year but this is a first for us! Here we have a selection of cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, strawberries, mint, thyme, garlic... so fingers crossed 🤞🏼🌱 we also have six fab sunflowers growing.. who’s going to win this year?! 🌻🌚 ...
